Rub a Dub Dub

Zachary's First Bath - with help

Well, actually it was just a sponge bath as his umbilical cord still can't get wet. It was 9:30 in the evening and apparantly because of a too long nap Brooke was still awake. She chose just the right time to climb out of her crib claiming she couldn't sleep. So I decided that she would have the honor of helping me bathe Zach. When I asked her if she wanted to help give Zach a bath she just looked at me. But when I got the tub out and started filling it with water she suddenly realized what was going to happen and that she was going to be allowed to participate. She turned to Zach laying on the floor and told him with great excitement to come quick. She was very gentle as she washed his head and kept saying, "it's okay" when he started to cry. One of those moments a mom will never forget.

But after Brooke's turn it was mama's turn to use the washcloth. In the split second that I turned my head to grab the soap I looked back at Brooke who had found a replacement for her taken washcloth. Zach almost got more a scrubbing than I had planned, but thankfully I was quicker than Brooke this time.

We're Ready

This party is about to get crashed.

In about 4 days.

And I'll not be the size of a beached whale.

This and That

Miscellaneous

My other excuse for not blogging has been no memory card reader. Grandma came to the rescue today and we received one in the mail. So here's a few things that have been going on these last few months.

Life gets a little boring when Elias is at school and Mom and Brooke are napping.

I was getting supper ready which consisted of lots of different leftovers.

When I started putting everything on the table I realized one of the leftovers was missing.

Playing with Christmas presents. Lego's for Elias and dishes for the girls.

All ready for church thanks to Grandma's sewing machine.

MIA
This pregnancy has left me super busy and with little creativity left at the end of the day to even think about blogging. But amid the craziness we did celebrate some birthdays.

Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's

Blowing out candles with a little help from big brother.

Cake is not a popular treat with our kiddo's so instead we filled a sand pail with "dirt" (oreos and pudding) with a few gummy worms for affect. Our little guests were not impressed until they tasted it.
